Suggestion Alienware API

Hi,
i have a suggestion about Action recording state.
I have an alienware laptop with a glowing keyboard. Some games make it happen does the keyboard changes colors if something happens in the game. As example, if the counter for respawning goes down the keyboard flashes red/black. After i respawned the keyboard is green.
I think it would be a nice feature to have visual if you are recording or not.
Record state = Keyboard Red
Pause state = Keyboard flashing red / black
Not recording = Keyboard green
The is some sort of api from alienware what could be used for that but i am not a programmer and dont know much about API and stuff...
