Audio Question

Tue Apr 22, 2014 2:37 am

I just have a quick question about a feature that may be nonexistent in Action! Basically all I'm wondering is if you're able to stop the recording of audio for a specific program.

I really enjoy listening to music during my game sessions (even while talking to people) and was going to start recording my game sessions but I don't want my music to be playing in the background of the recording. Now obviously this wouldn't be a problem if I just didn't record any sound from my PC. But I want to record the Skype/Axon chats while I'm playing with friends, and I want the game sound as well just not my music. So I'm wondering if that is possible in the program or if I should just use another program for audio that can do that.

I'm new to recording stuff so putting the answer in layman's terms would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Thanks for the guide! Although I wasn't actually able to get it to work and I'm really don't want to pay $25 to buy the program to stop hearing it say "trial" over and over again :p. However in your guide you did also answer my question that it isn't possible to do that.

Now for me the problem was that I could hear everything, which was great. The problem was it was not recording Line 1... or anything but my Mic for that matter. Which is a problem. I want it to record everything but my music. I guess if I'm recording I'll either have to not listen to music or try to find another way to do it. Thanks for the response though, and the guide was really easy to follow I'm probably just not smart enough to get it to work xD

I'm sure there is other ways to get it without paying.
If you made line 1 your default device Action! Should record it since it records system default. I haven't tried it with a mic although I can look into it and figure it out. What music player do you use?
