No audio during recording of video games

I cannot seem to get the audio to record during video capture of a game. This is now the fourth program I cannot get audio to work. I have tried Fraps, Bandicam, and Dxtory. Is there anything you can think of for a solution? One thing I do not understand is it worked on my USB wireless headset. But I no longer have it.
