Exporting Videos

Hello, I've been using Mirillis' Capture Software, Action!, for a while, and I have a question about exporting files.

Is there a way to export in 60fps? My recordings are in 60 fps, but when I export, sometimes they will be in 60fps, but most of the time they are in 30fps, and I can't figure out why. I'm really not very good at this kind of thing, so help would be appreciated :D

I personally use MeGui (a frontend encoder) to *re*encode the capture files. And with MeGui I'm 100% sure I keep the framerate. (I too capture in full 1080p@60fps and like it so much hehe)

MeGui isn't that userfriendly though. And if you ask me if/how to encode/export with Action!, I never cared to try it, as I've been using MeGui for years and years...

I have exported what I thought was 60 fps but my editing software (PowerDirector12) really does not like the imported avi's. They look very bad once I bring them into that editor. I am suspecting the fault is Action!

Thanks, I'll give it a whirl. Never crossed my mind to use other software. Shows you how much I know :D

Silly me, I noticed when I export from Action! itself, it automatically converts the file to mp4 from avi. Any way to prevent this?

MP4 is a format playing on pretty much all platforms, I would guess that's why Mirillis went with it. You could demux it and remux it into MKV, without much hassle. MP4 or MKV. :)

Only Auto profile keep to original framerate. Rest of the profiles are downgrading the fps count to 30fps.
