At times I will double click on the Action! shortcut on my desktop to load the software and it fails load.
The user Account Control will pop up asking if I want to run the software and I click Yes so I know its starting to load but the software still fail to load completely.

Sometimes the splash screen will pop up and other times even that doesn't show.

If I open up Task manager I can see that Action.exe, Action_x64.bin and Action_x86.bin load but then they close them self.

I can just keep trying to run the software and eventually it will load but its very frustrating as sometimes I will need to try many many times (sometimes over 10 attempts before it actually loads).

I have un-installed and re-installed and I still have the problem.

I've always had that problem too, on 2 different installations of Windows 7 64bits. I'm used now to see it crash 2-3 times before it loads correctly. I presume this isn't normal, but as long as it's loading in the end, I never thought about complaining about that.

Action! is the *only* software that crashes randomly like that, strange...

Wouldn't say I'm 'complaining' as such... More like trying to find a fix (if there is one).
I contacted support as well to see if they can help. If they come up with something Ill post back here (assuming it hasn't been sorted on here first).

So after contacting support and trouble shooting through this issue with them I seem to have antecedently resolved it myself.

Here is the story...

Action was failing to boot. I would x2 click the icon and usually the splash screen would pop up, you would see the .exe and .bin files in task manager and then they they would all close themselves before the main window of Action! would display.
It would eventually load but sometimes it would take many many attempts.

Now a few days ago I bought a new CPU cooler so I had to take the computer apart to install it and when I plugged everything back in and booted up the display identities had switched.

Previously my Main Display was identity 2 and my secondary monitor was identity 1.

I only noticed this when the Splash Screen on Action! opened up on my main monitor rather than my secondary.
Previously it would open on my secondary monitor (display 1).

Ever since the identities were switched Action has been loading first time every time.
As far as I can tell this is the only change that has happened since it started working again.


Hopefully this can help anyone with similar issues.
