I have installed the Action!. Unfortunately I can not record anything.
The software dont record the desktop and all games i have.
When I click on the red record button, nothing happens. Even if I press F9 hotkey, nothing happens.
And if I close the program then it freezes. And I must close it with Task Manager.
As an administrator, it is executed. I also restarted my System and closed all unnecessary Applications.
In the Taskmanager i see 3 Processes. Action.exe, Action_64x.bin and Action_86x.bin. Either i dont see the frameratebox in the corner....

My system:
Windows 7 Ultimate
Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 6870

I hope you can help me.
Thank you!

Guys, I found the solution :D That was a software incompatibility Problem! Actions! Processes "actionx64.bin and actionx86.bin" have Problems with different Antivirus Solutions. On my Computer i have Panda Internet Security 2012. When i launch Action! the problem happens which i described at first post, No Error, nothing.

How I found the solution?
I installed Action! on my other PC, where i have F-Secure IS 2012. The problem was the same. No HUD was visible an so on. Then i pressed the RED Recording Button, and nothing happend again. But then F-Securer pops up with the message that the Prcesses "actionx64.bin and actionx86.bin" are trying to manipulate some Process of the Antivirus itself. Then i could descide wheter to denie or allow the Manipulating. I clicked on allow...and WOW The HUD was visible and Action! was recording. Then i understood...Okay The Antivirus is the problem on my PC too. But Panda is so stupid, so there is no Pop-Up or something like F-Secure pops up. So i disabled Panda on my PC, launched Action! And WOW....All was perfect. But the negative point is now, that i must first disable the AV before i can record anything.... I also tried to add Action! to exceptions of the AV....But it still dont work.

Well, I hope you will fix this in the next update. I really cant understand why the Processes are trying to manipulate other processes, so the AV blocks Action! Im happy that i can help you. I would like to participate in a beta-programm if you have something like this  ...

Thank You :)

I'm having the same problem as Monk32. Will not record any video either in a game, desktop or section of windows. Audio only recording and screenshot do work. Hangs when trying to close Action and I have to end process through task manager.

Tried disabling my antivirus, Avast, and Action worked fine.

This only started happening. I installed 1.2.0 trial last week and had no problems getting it to work. Last recording I made was Dec. 3rd. Started to get the hangs on close on the 4th. I'm guessing an update to Avast is causing Action not to run properly.

Open Avast UI and go into real-time shields setting. Under that choose Behavior shield and click Expert settings. There you can add Action.exe to trusted processes. That's how you don't have to disable avast all the time.

Thank you for sharing a solution.
We have investigated problem with Panda and we cannot fix this at the moment.
The worst case is that Panda exluding list does not work.
We try to contact Panda software to solve a problem.

Action! exe process comunicates with bin processes and this is probably the problem.

@Ghost
I see...
I think contacting Panda is the only way to fix it...Cause other AV asks if you want to permit the operation, when Action! starts to capture.....
I changed from Panda to AVG IS 2012 and it cant be better now :)
Nice Work Guys:)

It seems that this will be only way to fix this, we investigated issue and we cannot fix it to work with Panda at the moment.

I've just installed mirillis action 1.15.2.0, it works well. I recorded a movie. And i exited the program. And i opened action! again. But it didn't record anything. I haven't got Antivirus Software yet. So, i closed Windows Defender and Firewall, but it doesn't work.
I tryed to capture image and record audio, it works well.

What should i do? Thanks.
