Game recording issues

I've been getting this strange glitch using the direct x recorder to record the footage from my Japanese 3DS Capture card app. The windows size itself in the app is 1200x720 and whenever action records footage, it incorrectly records to what looks to be a 4:3 resolution, which is undesirable and looks like a glitch.

If I use the screen recorder mode, setting it to focus, I don't get this issue, however half the time I am incnovinced by having to manually re size the capture window not to screen record the file menu, which is a pain in the rear and I'd rather use the Direct X capture mode.

System specs are: Haswell i5-4670k, 8GB Ram, Radeon 7870, running Win8.1 x64 fully patched. I am trying to record this in 720p using AMD APP - I have tried the other settings and formats (MP4 using CPU, AVI), and the same glitch occurs

Please, upload a sample file in MP4 (no youtube video) to check this. Maybe its easy to solve.
