Disappointed with MP4 Recording

Thu Jul 17, 2014 11:21 pm

I was really thinking to pirate the software but I since I have always heard how perfect this software was, I paid the price and bought it.

We were not able to capture Wolfenstein The New Order with GeForce Experience since the game was using OpenGL. We bought Action voila! It can not even capture in 1080p. Are you nuts guys ? Our monitor was 1440p! We had to capture with AVI format. But this time, the in game indicator did not work. And after the job was done, there was nothing captured.

A bucnh of sh1t!

In the end ?

We used Geforce Experience Shadowplay desktop recording and it did the job for the game. Until you add some proper HD H.264 capture support, I am going to bodmouth it.

This was my experience with the software.

Wolfenstein support will be added in next release since there is a weird OpenGL mechanism. 1080p in MP4 is available for computers that hardware supports Intel Quick Sync or AMD APP technology (soon also Nvidia card with Kepler architecture).

Our System was:

i7 3930K
GTX 760
16 GB RAM
240 GB SSD

If this sytem can not capture MP4 1080 then what systemn can ? This is ridiculous!

What's your chipset model?

My questions is pretty similar.

I have the software which I bought and I'm recording gameplay videos for it. Once I uploaded to youtube, it said "failed (unable to recognize video format)".

I found out later that your codec doesn't works well with youtube. Fine by me, I'll just upload MP4 files with 1080p then.

Problem is : My Screen is 1600x920 and Action! can't record MP4 files in 1080p, only in 720p.

Then, I have to export the video to 1080p ( High Profile ) , which is another MP4 video format.

Why not record the video in 1080p in MP4 format directly? The software pretty much can do that.

While your CPU is supporting the IQS technology, your chipset does not support Integrated Graphics which is one of the hardware encoding requirement.

Real-time encoding is a bit different than encoding the file after it's already recorded.

I have the GTX 760, why do I give a fuck about Intel HD Graphics ? Shadowplay is free and can do the job. Update the software please.

Nvidia is using Kepler architecture to compress the video. Kepler support will be added in near future.
