Action! Crash after minimizing game while recording

Every once in a while I will hit the windows key while playing Planetside 2 and running a recording. What happens then is Action! becomes completely unresponsive, does not recognize any hotkey input, will not allow me to right click and exit it, and generally doesn't work. I have to, in these instances, end task action.exe and the action.bins.

I would very much like it to pause the video, or stop it, when the windows key is hit instead of crashing and rendering the recording useless.

Video Card: Radeon 7970 (All driver versions)
Memory: 16 GB
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080
Game Problem: Planetside 2
Video Type: MP4 AMD APP

It should be fixed in next release as far as I know.
