When I record a my desktop along with having a webcam video, the desktop video and audio work just fine. But my webcam will only have video, no audio. So when I say something in my webcam, Mrillis Action doesn't record it.
Keep in mind, when I record a webcam video on Windows Movie Maker, my video has both picture and audio.
OS: Windows 8
Video Card: Intel(R) Celeron(R) 1.86GHz 1.86GHz
Memory: 4 GB( 3.87 usable)
Monitor Resolution: 1366x768

In the Video Recording tab, at the bottom of the page you have Microphone and a selection box next to it. Select "Always record".
You also have to have the proper mic selected (if you have more than one) - go to Settings -> Audio Settings -> Microphone Settings -> and select the correct Audio Device.

What device do you have set in Audio Settings as microphone?

I did Audio Settings->System Sounds->System Device->Speakers.
And the audio worked.
Side question: What purpose would I have for recording audio as a separate track? Wouldn't that mean more data(the audio file) would be stored on my hard drive?

Some users want to have a separated microphone track to edit their voice in post processing.

Some random questions:
1. When I record on "AVI, 720p, 60 video frame rate" everything is fine.
But, when I switch AVI to MP4, the video doesn't play properly. Why?
2. Why do AVI videos have more data than MP4 ones?

1. Maybe the encoding process is failing. I'd suggest to contact our support team about that.2
2. AVI videos are using almost lossless compression so your video is almost perfectly the same as what is displayed on your computer screen. MP4 is using h.264 compression which result in lower file size but fairly worse video quality.
