Hi there

im a new action user and first of all i wanna say: good job!

action seems to be finally a solution which WORKS and does the job. (not to mention that theres a bunch of shitty capturing software out there..)

im in the trial and i am happy with it so far - i really would buy it if we can solve the only last problem i have:
(and yes i already did search the forum for this topic and found several stuff but it didnt really help so i try my own thread which might state this issue clear for other users in the future)

for my postproduction, i definitly need separate audio tracks. means i need a video with tha ingame sound PLUS a wav track of my mic recordings SEPARATELY!

well i tried the "record mic as separate audio track" and then could not find the path where its saved.

i then found here in the forum that actually there IS NO real separate track, but that its INCLUDED in the vid somehow and by pressing "A" i am even able to hear that IT IS there somewhere.

but come on folks i need the FILE!!!

when i put the video file into adobe premiere theres just no wav curve - no sound at all.......

SO WHATS THE DEAL HERE?!

and please dont tell me that i have to extract it manually with virtual dub (http://forum.mirillis.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=22648)

u made such a good piece of software that i just CANNOT believe that i have to use a workarround?!?! why not just let action! save a separate mic track??

PLEASE!!

As you can see the feature is called "Record microphone into a separate audio track" not "separate audio file". Your issue occurs because Adobe Premiere does not support files with multiple audio tracks.

so please rename the feature and make sure action! makes separate files.

and everyone is good to go. if u wanna provide for professionals, u should take that issue serious, cuz everyone needs the files for his workflow if he wants to work on his material in a software like premiere - right?

How about no. I use Vegas Pro bcs Premiere is too confusing to me. I'm no pro but i sure like video producting.

A way to work around it: It's a little wonky, but record your gameplay using the video recorder. Use the function "do not record microphone" with this one. While recording gameplay (hotkey F9), hit F10 to record audio-only track. You'll want to make sure in the settings that it is set to a 0-100 mix for System Sound to Microphone input ratio. Then you get a separate voice track from the video and gameplay audio.

F9 gets you gameplay and game audio.
F10 gets you voice-over audio only.

Combine both to get what you're asking for here.
