AVI and Webcam problem

Now, i know this is a common problem with Action!, i just want to perhaps get an answer or see if someone can look into why Action is having this problem.
Webcam shows up in my recording of games, IF and only if i record an MP4, which i do NOT want to do, reason being that I then can not extract the two separate audio files from it in post. Which i need.
I HAVE managed to get webcam to work with AVI, but ONLY if select the 'Record mouse cursor' in the video settings tab, and this is how i have been recording my videos for the majority of my time using Action!
However, i am playing and recording a game that i do NOT want my mouse cursor to show up in, but i need webcam footage AND the ability to extract the audio stream from the final AVI file.
IS there a fix for this? Because if not, i'm very disappointed in having bought this program, i thought it was great, i finally decided to actually BUY a screen capture program...and to my disappointment, it is flawed.
Before you ask, yes i have uninstalled and re-installed he program as previously suggested in other threads
