Recorder stops when clicking in the menu

Hello,
Whenever I try to record in game mode. Mirillis Action! cuts out when I access a new screen. Such as going from menu to menu or to another level in a game.
The games that have had this problem are The Escapists and Risk of Rain. Both on steam, both DX9. Please give me some help on this.
