Auido Issues when recording

Fri Dec 05, 2014 8:56 pm

Hello, I record minecraft gameplay and I am having difficult getting my commentary to work. My settings are:

Recording mode: Game
File type: AVI
Framerate: 30
Video Size: 720p
Perfect Video Match Mode: On
Record System Sounds: On
Multi Channel Audio Recording: off
Record Microphone: Always

I keep hearing crackling or popping sounds. I know that it isn't my microphone because I never hear these in other programs and I use pop filter. I hope somebody can answer my question so I don't have to record audio in a different, harder, more confusing way. Thanks!

Thanks, that sounds like a performance issue. What settings do you use to capture your videos? What's your CPU usage during recording?

You can capture your screenshot by using Print Screen button on your keyboard and the paste your screenshot using Ctrl +V in MsPaint. CPU can be monitored using Task Manager under Performance tab.

These are my settings. I wasn't sure if you wanted to see my cpu usage while recording so I took a screenshot while recording.

Thanks again for helping me out.

I checked my task manager while recording and my cpu % was averaging around 40% and action % was averaging around 10%.

PS, when I record, my game drops to around 20-30 fps instead of the 40 I usually average. Most reviews said it caused no lag so...
