How do you record downloaded RPG games?

OS: Windows 7
Video Card: INTEL XXXX
Memory: 4
Monitor Resolution: 1366x768
Video Editor: Vegas 12
Game Problem: ib
Video Type: AVI
So I am trying to record this game called ib but everytime I try, Action! stops recording it. I have the setting to record the desktop and it works fine, and I can see everything but as soon as I open the game it just stops and goes to your logo and the video ends. What am I doing wrong?
