Action wont record games other than minecraft

Hey so I have been using action for awhile now and I recently got a java update. Whenever I film Minecraft it is fine, the hud shows up and everything. But now when I try to record a game on steam the HUD doesn't even show up for me to record! I even have it on the record game setting. The thing is that it used to work... can someone please help?

Sorry for the late response, I fixed Action by uninstalling it and re installing it, but now it is occurring again
The thing is I updated Java awhile ago, and didn't test to see if Action still worked on other games, because I was only using Minecraft at the time. I didn't play other games while trying to record for awhile later, so I can't be sure if the update caused it :/
I have java 8 , and I run windows 7. Don't know if this helps

So I tried unistalling it and re installing it again, didn't help. It seems it is only steam games that wont record, because I got Watch Dogs on a disc and it records perfectly fine. I am just stumped that the Steam Games don't even show the HUD at all...
