Issues using Action!

A mate of mine bought Action ! and has used it with succes.
He hasnt recorded in a couple of months now and wants to start again , same settings etc etc.
OS: Windows 7
Video Card: gtx560ti
Memory: 8
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080
Video Editor: Sony Movie Studio
Game Problem: Rocket League
Video Type: AVI
But now he has big chunks in his video that miss a couple of seconds:

This is very annoying and messes up his video , any help would be very much appreciated!
