Videos Not Saving

OS: Windows 8.1
CPU: Intel Core i5-4288U
Graphics: Intel Iris
Memory: 8 GB
Video Type Issue: Both

I recently purchased a new computer, and I used my product activation code for Mirillis to use it again because I liked it, but I have a technical issue. And yes, I have reinstalled it.

When I record audio or a video, and stop it, it either doesn't save at all, or it saves but opens with a 1 second video of blankness. It's just black. When it saves, the thumbnail is a grey loading symbol.
