I'm thinking of buying Action, and I have some questions.

Hi everyone.
I'm very interested in buying this program on Steam after having tried the trial verison.
There are some things I am wondering about though.

As I understand it, as long as Action is running, Steam will show me as "in-game" in Action, and that also messes with game invites. I know that this can be "fixed" by running the game before Action, but it also means that I have to restart Action every time I restart a game, which isn't the end of the world but still annoying.
So what I'm wondering first is if it's possible to buy Action from the website, and then later migrate to Steam when I feel ready to move to Steam?

Another thing I'm worried about is that I've read posts where people are saying that if your game crashes, you will lose the entire recording because that will bug out Action.
Is this true? It sounds devastating for a recording software.

And the last thing I'm wondering about is the streaming subscription.
Is it normal for a recording software to have a stream-subscription like that?
If I need to pay a monthly subscription to Action to be able to stream to Twitch, then why wouldn't I just use Twitch alone for streaming? Without Action.
If Action was providing its own streaming service, then I would get it.
But having to pay ACTION to use TWITCH, that doesn't seem fair to me.

We have made several improvements to secure our encoding process so the encoder will close the video if the application crash. However in some cases when Action! crash during encoding the video will not be playable.

Is it normal for a recording software to have a stream-subscription like that?
Yes, it's normal for streaming software to offer a subscription plan such as Xsplit.

You need additional software to stream into sites like Twitch.tv or similar. Twitch itself does not offer streaming service, only hosting.

Thanks for the info!

What about Steam migration?

I'm not a big fan of how Steam is currently handling it's "In-Game" function, so I would prefer to buy it outside of Steam.
Then if this would change, I it would be nice to have it on Steam.

Unfortunately Steam and Non-steam version are sold separately and there is no possibility to migrate your license from non-steam to steam.
