Game Problem: Dying Light
Video Type: MP4 (NVIDIA NVENC)
Hello, i have a youtube channel on which i post "lets plays". Months ago i used mirillis all the time, but i stopped using it because if for some reason the game or mirillis crashed, the video file would be corrupted and unable to even open it, which led to HOURS of footage lost and hours wasted.
Every now and then i hop back to mirillis to check on its progress and see if its worth it. I recently started using it again specially because of the new codec (nvenc). So i started recording my lets play and i spent 60min playing dying light, when i was ready for a break i tried to stop the recording by pressing F9. It didn't work, it wouldn't stop recording, i tried to alt tab and switch to mirillis to see whats going on... Turns out it was crashed, and it was probably crashed since long ago, despite the fact that the icon was saying that the recording was still on. Bottom line, i have 60 mins of recorded gameplay to a 7.5GB video file that is corrupted and i can't do anything with it.
Its really frustrating to have this happening ONLY with mirillis, all other softwares that i'v been using recover the video file after a crash and i can still use the footage.
Just wanted to leave this here, its been happening way t much and i'v wasted too much time. I guess i should have stayed with the other softwares.
Thank you for your time.
