I cant record any other game besides minecraft

Ive tried many other games some unity games and gmod its not working i press F9 wait 5 seconds and i dont record im kinda mad that its not working i get really good fps when recording with action but if i have to i may switch to another recording software so someone please help because action is the best for my computer
