Action! not recording drop down menus

I bought this software to record some Visual Studio tutorials. When I record my active screen, I access some drop down menus to do things like go to File>>New File... but action doesn't record the drop down menu. Is there any way to have these menus displayed in my screen capture video? Thanks!
