HotKey

Hi all

I am only evaluating Action for use with Flight Simulation X ONLY as a replacement for a very out dated Fraps.

I am not a gamer as such but I do make movies of what I do. Here is an example:

FSX uses most keys on the keyboard so its difficult to allocate hotkeys that do not "double function"

(1) Having messed up the Hotkey allocation how does one reload the default settings?

I noted that a lot of Hotkey allocations can be cancelled with the button in settings. All but the top 4.

All I want to use is video and still frame capture. But I cannot cancel the other two in the top of the list.

(2) is it possible to cancel all unwanted outcomes?

Thanks for any replies that may be useful

First 4 hotkeys cannot be turned off due to technical reasons. Have you tried using a combination like shift + key?

Thanks for you reply.

The only two keys I use for FSX are to record video and stills capture occasionally. FSX has its own capture key (V).

For those two I use Caps Lock and Shift Z as they are functions I do not use in FSX. Indeed I have deleted the outcomes for those keys in FSX. I have always used those allocations in the out dated Fraps so that's no change.

That leaves 2 other keys in the top 4 of Action which I reset for Home and End as they are not used in FSX. All others are turned off with the button on the right side of the setup dialogue so as to protect from double whammy outcomes.

Because of my tinkering I have lost many of the allocations in the remaining keys but I did not take a screen image to show what the default allocation was. I just thought it would be better to reset the default allocations even though not in use.

After testing for 3 days I bought the program last night and it functions far better than Fraps. It will provide smoother simulation outcomes for inclusion in a professional documentary with voice overs by WWII veterans from RAF Bomber Command to be released late in 2015 in the UK. Thanks.
