Nvidia 60 FPS recording fixed with 1.24 patch, but not AMD

Sat Mar 14, 2015 12:28 pm

Two days ago I was at my AMD PC (only the GPU is made by AMD) and I updated to the latest version of Action! (1.24.1.0) and started to record some Elite: Dangerous footage in my Oculus Rift DK2.

I played on the lowest possible settings (Oculus Rift is a really demanding gadget, you're basically playing on two digital screens) so that I could get the least amount of juddering, and the gameplay was pretty good.

When I went back to normal mode and exited the game, I saw that Action! still hadn't fixed the 50 FPS "variable framerate" thingy, but that's not too big of a deal, I thought.

But yesterday when I got on to my Nvidia PC and did the very same thing with the very same graphics settings, on a less powerful PC, it converted it to 60 FPS flawlessly (even though the gameplay mostly ditched below 60 FPS).

I think you guys should look into this.

Specs:

AMD:

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570k.

GPU: R9 280X.

RAM: Corsair XMS3 8GB.

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit.

Action Vs: 1.24.1.0.

Nvidia:

CPU: Intel Core i5-2400.

GPU: GTX 760.

RAM: Corsair XMS3 8GB. (share the same between both PCs)

OS: Windows 7 HP 64bit.

Action Vs: 1.24.1.0.

Yep, it is total bug. In the past I would get 60fps video, but my audio would be out of sync. Now my audio is in sync but there is no video at all when I put into Sony Vegas and 60fps video = 45fps 120fps video = crash. Radi say this is because my computer cannot handle encoding it, my computer handle it perfectly with much higher bitrate and 120fps on bandicam. This program, for last 6 months, is complete garbage.

Strange because I have AMD R9 290 and my mp4 captures are 60fps.

If you have problems on VEGAS, just use MKV2MP4. Its will remux correctly fps for VEGAS.

Are you using Direct To Rift, or extended desktop?

Try Extended Desktop and it should work just fine. Atleast it does for me.
