Action stops recording after 3 seconds.

This is a persistent issue that I've been dealing with for a month or so now, mostly with SWTOR. When I press the key to record a cutscene, the recording simply stops after 3 seconds with no warning or prompt of any kind, forcing me to replay the cutscene again and with a blank, 3 second video in my Action library that I then have to delete. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to it; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
My specs:
Intel Core i5-3570k
GTX 770, 2GB
16GB RAM
Windows 7
The game is Star Wars: The Old Republic, running in a borderless window at 1920x1080 and 60 FPS. Action (version 1.19.2.0) is recording in Games and Applications (rather than active screen) mode, in AVI format, at 1080p and 60 FPS.
Any help is appreciated.
