error after 1.25.3 update

everytime i try to start Action i get this error
its the latest version ..
and i cannot choose where to install the programm

I can probably answer this as I have the same issue. It installs it in Program Files (x86). I've also been in contact with support to let them know of the situation funny thing is I did find a solution until it is fixed.
Copy the folder Mirillis along with the installed Action! from the Program Files (x86) and paste them to the directory Program Files. Now delete the installed version from Program Files (x86), don't uninstall but delete it instead so that all of the entries are left in the registry. You should now be able to run the software.
Support asked me if I was able to record videos after doing this and I replied that I could record with no issues. I haven't heard anything back yet. I'm assuming they will fix the installer/update to reflect this issue but until then this is my work around. oSleepleZzZ I hope this helps you out until then and radi I hope this helps answer your question.

on a different HDD
i got 8 HDD's installed and actually the installation folder is
E:\Action!
the thing is i can install all versions till action 1.24.3 without any problems ..
but with 1.25.1 - 1.25.3 i get these errors
and thx for your lil workarround bro
but i downgraded to last "stable" (for me it was 1.24.3) version ..
i can wait for a fix
(hope i dont get something to read like: I need to put UAC on/off or such things . it runs before so it should be run now)

Please try moving your Mirillis folder from Program Files x86 to Program Files and see if that helps.

But how did you do the downgrade?
