Microphone Drop

Greetings all,
I'm hoping to get this issue resolved (hopefully) quickly, as I try to record on a fairly regular basis and post to YouTube weekly. So I'll cut to the chase.
My video records perfectly. And my audio records fairly well too. Great quality. But midway through my recordings, the microphone will drop out (stop recording.) This, I've found, particularly happens during my longer recordings (25+ min.) Any advice or possibilities on the issue?
At first, I thought it might be an inactivity issue (lack of audio input to record.) But theory's been disproven. But I've discerned that the microphone isn't the issue. Because it works fine in terms of long term recording with other software. And it's hardlined into my webcam (Logitech C615), which has had no issues with audio before.
