I am having issues with Action!
Sometimes I am able to record and finish recording, but Action! will crash when
1. I want to view the file (after finishing recording session)
2. ending the recording.

Version: Action! 3.1.6 Full Version
Action! settings:

Video:
Capture Mode: Screen
File format: MP4
Hadware acceleration: NVIDIA NVENC
Video size: 1080p
Video framerate: 60 fps
Active screen: Desktop 1
Microphone:
Webcam:
Overlay graphics:

Audio:
Audio device: System default
Output format: WAV
Duration:
Microphone:
Allow multi-channel audio recording:
Record silence:

DxDiag: No problems found.

Action! is only crashing when recording MP4.
External USB devices:
(Headset) Astro A50 connected - working - disabled.
(Control for soundcard) ASUS STRIX RAID PRO connected - working - disabled.
(Mouse) Roccat Kone XTD connected - working - enabled.
(Mouse) Razer Deathadder Elite connected - working - enabled.

My PC specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K @ 4.20GHz
GPU: Nvidia Geforce ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 Ti ROG Strix
SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 512GB
SSD: Samsung SSD 850 EVO SSD 1TB
HDD: Seagate Internal Harddrive Firecuda 2TB SSHD
Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB 3466Mhz
MOBO: ASUS ROG Maximus IX Extreme Z270 eATX
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit DVD English OEM
Soundcard: ASUS RAID STRIX PRO

If I have left a blank it means either the option is not selected or not available.

I have not experimented to see if any other settings are also causing a crash error.
Recording in AVI format is possible without encountering errors.

Hi, I have the solution.

First, iam sorry for my english :p

Second, crashs appear cause sound. You must put a headphones, and select it in Action! audio settings.

Support@mirillis is non-existent and unhelpful. When they cannot help they completely ignore you. Have been having issues with Action for over two years. I cannot record some of my Steam games.

The latest problem is Action is crashing upon ending the recording process. I can only record with MP4 AMD Acceleration due to terrible file sizes and lag. Whenever Action crashes my recordings become corrupt and unusable. It's annoying, I don't have any issues with other free recording programs! I am using Action because I paid for it, you can pause recordings and one key recordings.

I joined this forum because I had no choice. Fed up with Mirillis ignoring me! I will never recommend paying for Action.

If anyone else has any solutions, I will be grateful.

Hello Simonds99999,

Do you have 2 AMD GPUs installed in your system? If so, then can you please just to check to disable one of them in your hardware manager? Then if you have the latest drivers and AMD APP enabled then try if the recording is done properly. We are still trying to figure out what can be the problem with your system and we really want to help you.

Does the issue occur every time you try to save the video or only with the long recordings? One of the things that can cause this issue is the antivirus program that may scan the video when Action! tries to save it. Please let us know what kind of antivirus program are you using (this usually happens with Avast antivirus). The green arrow should not be visible for a long time. If it stays for a long time (the longer the recording the longer it stays) and the antivirus scans the file longer than 60 seconds, Action! will restart itself and the recording is lost. We suggest adding Action! installer or/and its files to antivirus white-list so you can update your Action! properly. Please always make sure that your installer comes from our official source which is always the website: www.mirillis.com.

The happiness didn't last long... The problem is happening AGAIN after 3.3.0 update. It was fixed on version 3.2.0, but after updating it to 3.3.0, its again crashing upon ending the recording process.

I also did add all Action! folders to the anti-virus whitelist, but the problem remains.

*EDIT* Version 3.4.0 seems to be ok. Just tested it right now and had no crashes.

Problem may be related with audio recording. To check that please go to Settings -> Audio and disable "Record system sounds" option.
