I have a Turtle Beach X42 and I've got them set up with my pc as my playback and recording. I can hear things perfectly, but whenever I record:

A. It plays back only on the left side (while game audio is played on both sides). I have tested another headset, and it works except for the recording, as well as my monitor's speakers. Audio from game plays but mic only on the left side.

B. It's extremely static or quiet. It's a custom pc, http://www.youtube.com/user/outridegaming/about . The pc has two mic ports, one in the top (aka front port) and one in the back (rear). The front one has a lot of static. Crazy lots, even if the mic (in recording devices settings) has been set to 0 db mic boost. the rear one is too quiet that I can't hear myself in recording (Even setting the action recording to 1 for game audio & 99 for mic)

Here is a link to my information of the DxDiag. Nothing seems to be wrong and all seems to be working fine. I just don't get why or how I get static on the front mic port, but the back sounds clear and extremely quiet. Please help :/

Is there any additional software for your Turtle headset?

sorry im NOT using a turlte headset. i use a microphone via my maudio fastrack pro usb audio interface.

i have the same issue: the recorded voice is only on the left channel.
