"S" letter distortion in exported files

Avi videos exported from Action have a very noticable and annoying distortion(?) whenever a loud s letter is spoken. The source files are perfect (but I cannot use them, too large and they don't play nice with Vegas), so I assume the blame lies in the export process. Using different audio driver versions, even disabling the audio driver entirely did not help.

OS: Windows 10
MB: Asus Gene VI
GPU: R9 290
CPU: i5 4670k

I haven't tested if MP4 recording has same the problems, but MP4 recordings fail more often than not and that's an even bigger problem preventing me from considering it a viable alternative to Avi recording.

I have approximately 20 hours of footage suffering from this issue and I don't think there is a way to fix those videos at this point. I'd still like to fix this problem for future videos.

Could you post a video sample where your issue occurs?

You can hear what I'm talking about throughout this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhsVLwMNn9o

And this is what it should sound like (5:06): https://youtu.be/kW5DOGL5mCI?t=306

Also, it's very noticable at the last second of this video: https://youtu.be/qEniKK2H1bk?t=12
