Action!, FRAPS, and Steam Overlay active at the same time?

Sometimes this works great, but ususally it doesn't work at all.

I want to use Action! to record with, FRAPS to take screenshots with (I play Witcher 3 maxed out at 4k, of course I want to take great screenshots), and Steam to chat with friends and browse Reddit when I'm bored.

This all works somewhat fine at 1080p, but in 4k, Action! really struggles to cooperate, even if I use my CPU (MP4 QuickSync) (which to be fair is the bottleneck in most games, never thought I'd say an i7 is the bottleneck). The few times it DOES work, Action!'s HUD will just disappear randomly (usually around 10 minutes in).

I really hate to sacrifice two of these things whenever I want to play pretty games, and it's always when I don't record that something extraordinary happens.

None of the programs uses enough resources for this to make sense.
