As the title says I am finding that Action is causing itself or no man's sky to crash on start up.
I know they both work ok away from each other but not together. I also know I can record No Man's Sky as I can seem to use OBS but of course would rather use action for the extra options (mostly split audio).

Anyone else having the same problem?

I am using a laptop with :
Intel Core i7-6700HQ (Intel HM170 Express Chipset)
NVIDIA Geforce GTX 970M 3GB
Windows 10

(let me know if you also need RAM etc)

Yep, exact same issue here whenever I try to start the game with Action! opened. In the end I had to add NMS to an exclude text file and place it in the Action! program folder, however I would like to record my gameplay in No Man's Sky. My specs are quite similar to yours as I use the MSI Phantom 6QE laptop:
Intel Core i7 6700HQ 2.60GHz
16GB DDR4 2133MHz
Nvidia GTX 970M 3GB
128 GB NVMe M.2 SSD / 1 TB SSD
Windows 10 / Action! 2.7.0
