Game records but no sound

Greetings,
I purchased Action around summer of 2015. Been recording videos and have been very happy with the product without any problems. I stopped recording around the end of December (2016). I wanted to record something about a week ago (January10-11) /2017 - Was getting a crash error that recommended I reinstall Action. I uninstalled & reinstalled it and action works good except for one thing: the sound isn't recording when I record gameplay (F9) The only way sound will record is if I record it separately from gameplay.(F10)

I noticed something odd when I look at my record tab - the button for the microphone to always record is grayed out. (pic related) Also, under the microphone settings; the box to record audio on a separate audio track is UNCHECKED.

System specs; intel core i5-4670k cpu@ 3.40Ghz - NVIDIA GTX 960 -Windows 7
