Ultrawide Time-Shift Support?

Is there ever going to be an option to allow Time-Shift to record in anything higher than 1920x1080? I currently use an ultrawide monitor and while normal recording works fine, if I use Time-Shift, it squishes my recording down. I don't want to have to record the whole time I am playing, which is why Time-Shift would be ideal.
