I can record video fine but now that I started to try talking with my training video, all I get is faint static on playback.
Any suggestions?

I do have the very same problem. Changing Microphone settings didn't do anything. No one here with a solution ?

Is it possible to record short sample 10-20s and share it so we can investiagte it?
We can provide ftp server for larger files upload.

I have the same problem.
When I record some game (I've tried several) does not record audio. The problem is related to the sound card because if I use the motherboard audio if you record but when I use the sound card (Asus Xonar D2) the audio is not recorded.
I tried recording the desktop and if that work the two (motherboard and sound card)
I tried to disable the audio from the motherboard, but neither works.

I'm using the free trial version.

I have the same problem actually and Im using the paid version.

The trial one worked fine with my onboard sound but now that Im using a pci sound card I get no in game sound which actually was one of the main reasons for buying action the ability to hear my mic and in game sound. Oh I should say it records my mic fine and thats running through the same pci sound card.

I managed to fix this today I contacted support about the issue and they asked for some images and before I sent the images I did some final tests.
In playback devices as well as recording devices you need to have both default device and default communications device set.

For playback Default communications device should be S/PDIF Pass-Through Device, default device should be your speakers.

For recording youll want default device your mic and default communications device set to Wave.

This worked for me at least I hope this helps anyone else with this card and maybe points others in the right direction.

I'm using the exact audio card, Asus Xonar D2/PM.

Can you guys please detail what exactly should be done to fix the sound issue after exporting videos ( slow sound, desync sound, distortions and more.)

I am currently unable to record audio with my video for some reason as well. I used to be able to without a problem, so I'm not sure what the issue is. After trying many different settings, I'm still having no luck. My microphone connects via USB (Model: AT2020 USB), and I can record perfectly fine with Audacity and have no issues. In Action! though, as described by another user, I'm getting "faint static." Attached is a sample project file, and the resulting exported video:

UPDATE:
I just tried out the new release for the microphone fix, and everything seems to check out just fine. No more garbled audio! Download ACTION! version 1.3.2 now at: http://downloadmirillis.com/files/actio ... _setup.exe.
