Audio Out of Sync

Fri Mar 16, 2018 1:43 pm

Hello i decided today to give Action a chance again been using OBS Studio instead for recording but i felt like Action Mirillis had good performance and recording was smooth except that i ran into issues today when i recorded my video.

I was recording using MP4, AMD APP, 720p, 60fps and record active screen that's the smoothest one for me.

So everything looked fine it was smooth until around 3 minutes into the recording i notice that audio was about 10 seconds or more delayed suddently. 1 second ago it was synced then bam it was totally out of sync. It makes little sense to be since there is my voice over the entire video length and it's still 10 seconds out of sync after those 3 minutes.

I also noticed that the file for some reason inside Action says 59.40 fps instead of 60 fps and adobe premiere pro reports the video as 58.87 fps.

My brain is really confused how this could happen at all that from 1 second to the other it gets 10 seconds desynced.
I have never ever had these issues with OBS Studio at the same recording at 60fps, mp4, 2 tracks game + mic, 720p.

I tried using AVI also because maybe that one would not go out of sync but that one i can only see 1 audio track when imported to Adobe Premiere Pro CC even tho i have set Mirillis to record separate tracks for microphone
Let me know if there is anything else i can post that could help you fix this for Action or fix the issue for my setup.

Noticed that the ingame audio also gets out of sync.

Gonna try AVI next time and extract mic audio with Virtual Dub instead.
This is making everything take 10-20 times longer to edit videos and it's just a mess

Recorded now with the exact same settings as before only difference is that i recorded with AVI and not using any AMD for it and game audio, mic audio and game is synced.

I extracted the second audio stream with virtual dub since Adobe Premiere Pro CC can't import the second audio line when in an AVI file.
Performance seems to be about the same with AVI and MP4 with AMD except you don't get the INSANE Desync
