[Solved] Crashing on startup after upgrading.

Hey there, I was recording a video today and after I finished the recording Action! just closed (the file isn't corrupted). I thought that it just tried to update itself as I was still using 2.8.2, but whenever I try to launch Action! it gets stuck in a loop where it starts, crashes and starts again. Unfortunately uninstalling 3.0.0 and downgrading to 2.8.2 did not help. It was fine 2 days ago and I haven't installed any software/hardware since then except for graphics drivers, but that was after this whole thing happend.

I saw the pinned "Windows 10 (8 and 8.1) startup fail" thread and got my hopes up, but that post was for an even older version.
Was it something like in my video though?


Edit: I have deleted everything in HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Mirillis/, entered safe mode in Windows 10, installed Action! 2.8.2 and launched it. Still the same. I kinda feel like it has something to do with my license. I think I recall something about licenses being tied to a specific major version?


Edit 2:

• Go to Action.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Change settings for all users

• Set compatibility mode to Windows 7

• Set high DPI scaling behavior to Application

• Disable fullscreen optimizations

• Run this program as an administrator

Doing this did the trick for me, I'm still in awe this actually worked. What's even better is that it still works even after I have reverted these settings back to normal.

j'ai presque le même soucis que vous j'ai acheter action mirillis déjà un moment j'ai installé tout les mise a jour sauf la dernière version 3.1.1.0
car une fois installé je lance action mirillis j'ai un message d'erreur qui dit ( action a cessé de fonctionné et va fermer le programme) impossible de l'ouvrir je ne sais plus quoi faire j'ai tout essayer peut que vous, vous pourriez m'aider a résoudre le problème.

Please update Action! to version 3.1.3 and see if that helps.
