Strange problem with the performance

Thu Feb 28, 2019 7:54 pm

Hello,

For about a month or since the Game "Apex Legends" was released, i have a problem with the Action! Software.
I noticed this in the following games: Anthem, Apex Legends, Mist Survival, CSGO and unfortunately in Battlefield V.

I don't know why, i mean.. i got Action! since Battlefield V was released (earlier than apex) and i had no problems with the Performance, now i have laggs even in Battlefield V. When apex came out, I suddenly noticed that my FPS have been greatly reduced, except when I closed the software, then everything was back to normal. It does not matter if I am recording at the moment or the software is just in the background, it causes performance issues ingame everytime. The same problem now applies to all other games. I do not understand what should have changed? Even with Geforce Experience, I currently have no problems to record a game or just leaving it in the background, although Experience was actually been the reason why I've ever been changed to Action! , and now they have changed roles again. :|

My specs:
  • Geforce GTX 1070
  • Intel Core i7-4790K
  • 16 GB DDR3 RAM
  • Windows 10 Pro (64x)
Here is a little Example: https://youtu.be/vlcd63TXtMk

...When I finished recording the Game and then closed the program completely, the game went smoothly again. And I want to emphasize again, previously I never had any performance problems with the Action! software and Battlefield V or the other games! Except now..

I hope you can help me out with that.

(Oh and I'm sorry for my bad English)

Please enable hardware acceleration, that will help with performance issue. Also Action! records all the time, when in game, because Time-Shift option is enabled.

Hello,

I am sorry for the really late reply, unfortunately I did not receive any notification. Since I was not able to use the program properly, I also had not used it for a while, which is why the topic fell into oblivion here. Sorry again.

The reason why I remembered this topic again is because today I wanted to try the program again after I had updated it and I not only noticed that the problem still existed, but also that the setting "hardware acceleration" was the one was turned off all the time and I happened to read on the official site that this happens to be necessary for the time shift function. So I activated it (on NVIDIA NVENC HEVC) and actually it worked fine after that.

The Time-Shift function is something that i really need.

Thank you again for the early reply and I am really very sorry for the late response on my part and that I did not even come earlier.

The problem has now been resolved. Thank you!

best regards
