Problem Description
Game/App Problem: Rainbow Six Siege
Error Type: Corrupt Video
Video Editor: Premiere Pro
Description:
I record with Action for about over one year and didn't get this problem: after my play session and recording different clips with TimeShift, I closed my game and wanted to rename my recordings. There are a lot oft (not all of it!) mp4-files shown in grey and with no thumbnail. I couldn't open these files with any videoplayer. These corrupted files are not big, but there are "timeshift_xxxx.tmp"-files for every corrupted file and they fit with the size of the files who are not corrupted. I record exact 3 minutes, if something is worth recording.
I copied these corrupted files in an other directory and tried a lot of things. Renaming the tmp to mp4 does not work, trying different video repair software does not work, but there are a lot of online-repair-sites who can restore them and want 25-70 Dollar for every file.
So now my question: the tmp files are there, and they are exactly from the size, but the last finish of "exporting" from action into mp4 is missing. I didn't found any option in Action and the forum to finish the last missing step.
How can I do this? I'm talking about 5 files from 15 I recorded today.
After this, I'm afraid of recording again
