Can't record Far Cry New Dawn

The Action HUD doesn't show in-game. F6 does not activate it, and F9 does not start the recording.
I bought Action! last week, very impressive and keen to start recording today but disappointed it's no-go in Far Cry.
It works ok in Skyrim, plus have tried both voice audio and pip, no problem.
I tried adding farcrynewdawn.exe to the Exception List as suggested for other games, but no luck recording when I bootted up the game.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
