Hello everyone, 8-)

I'm using the X-plane 11 flight simulator and I want to record my flights. I am currently testing Action! which gives me very good results: no artifacts or lags.

I'm not very good at codec and I would like to know which codec I should focus on: NVIDIA NVENC or NVIDIA NVENC HEVC?

I said that I write in mp4, 2560x1440 in 30 fps, quality: ultra, bitrate 12 Mbps, input range: 0-255 FULL.

Thank you in advance, best regards.

PS : I am a frenchie, sorry for my english (it's google translation) :oops:

We recommend using NVIDIA NVENC since HEVC codec in not standarized and some decoders may have problem decoding your recordings.

Hello !

I was recently trying to record X-Plane 11 with its internal sounds, mainly ATC, using Action! (a Mirillis company software).
This was part of preparing a YouTube video.

The problem was that X-Plane 11 was systematically freezing at the starting of Action!
NB : I have a NVIDIA graphic card.

I had a fructuous exchange with Mirillis support. The result was that, in order to achieve a nice recording of X-Plane 11 (video + sound), I needed to do the following:

Right click on desktop and select "NVIDIA Control Panel".
Go to 3D Settings -> Manage 3D settings.
Under "Global Settings" tab set the following:
- Antialiasing - Transparency -> 2x (supersampling),
- Threaded optimization -> On.

AND
- X-Plane 11 in Full Screen display
AND POSSIBLY
- Start Action!, then Stop Action!, then Start Action!

Best regards
