Action! software licensing policy change?

Hi.

I have purchased a license for Action! version 3.x. Now version 4.0.3 is out.

i remember having read something on your forums that licenses won't cover major program upgrades, only minor updates.
Action! license is not time limited.
Action! license also entitles for free updates within purchased product version. In example, when you purchase Action! 1.x.x version then you are entitled to receive free updates for all Action! 1.x.x versions. Upgrade to version 2.x.x or higher will be not free.
However, after installing version 4.0.3 and trying the 3.x key, to my pleasant surprise it activated successfully :)

Also, going now on your website gives me the following info:

So, has your policy changed?

Thank you !

Our policy didn't change. It is our act of good will to allow free upgrades.

Many thanks for posting this, Laurentiu. Wasn't sure whether to download the update for this reason.

The FAQ isn't completely clear about this because it says: "Action! license also entitles for free updates within purchased product version". "Within purchased product version" is a bit vague.

Off to update, hopefully no stuff-ups :D
