No longer records sound

Since the last update the sound recording no longer works. I turned every audio related switch every direction and still it won't record any sound when I record a video from the screen. I downloaded a Free software that does work including capturing the sound so I know it can work. Anything else I can try??

Action 4.1.2 won't record any sound

I tried uninstalling it and deleting the Action folder in the registry and reinstalled and still won't record any sounds.

Win10 64 Pro
i7 2600k
16 GB Ram
Nvidia 1080 Video Card

Can you help?

- Video Recording (showing audio options),
- Audio Settings.

I have the same kind of issue. I have my primary and secondary set to system default but it will only record mic or system sounds but not both

Open microphone settings and make sure that "Record microphone into separate audio track" option is disabled.

I still have the same problem for months now. I bought another screen recorder and it works and records sound from the screen overlay (MOVAVI) but I would really like ACTION! to work. Does anybody else have this problem or have had it and fixed it? I hate to have to uninstall it and use it on another pc.

Please try following steps below to completely re-install Action. You will need your serial number to activate your product again.
1. Uninstall Action!
2. Press Start and then type "Regedit" in search and press Enter.
3. Go to the following path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Mirillis/
4. Remove Action! catalog.
5. Reboot your PC.
6. Install Action! again. Make sure that your installer file comes from official website - www.mirillis.com (if you have not purchased Action! through Steam).
You can activate Action! with the same serial number as before.

These steps should restore your Action! settings to default.

Hi,
I followed your instructions and still it will not record any sound. Very frustrating. I downloaded the latest audio drivers from DriversCloud yesterday and still no joy. I may go back there and see if any other drivers are relevant. I use a Logitech G35 headset but have been for many years and everything else works when it comes to sound. I sent a captured video to tech support some time ago and they said there was no sound file on the video. They told me to disable all the applications with MSCONFIG and try safe mode but when I do that I cannot even open ACTION! I tried disabling any video and sound capture apps on my pc and that didn't help. I may try MSCONFIG again and just break it down into blocks of 10 apps at a time or something. I really miss my ACTION! :(
