Recording freezes

Thu Apr 09, 2020 1:34 pm

So I have been using mirillis action to record minecraft gameplay. During recording, minecraft is decently smooth as well as the recording, however sometimes the recording freezes for a couple seconds before continuing. The game still feels smooth when recording, so idk if its a hardware issue. I record in 120fps at 1080p. I currently have my gaming laptop hooked up to a 144hz monitor with the laptop screen off. Here are my laptop specs:

i7 8750h (6 core 12 thread cpu)
gtx 1050 ti 4gb vram
16 gb ram
Windows 10

Has anyone been able to figure out a fix for this? The same issue happens to me as well. I am recording Mass Effect 3 and for the most part, it works great! But every now and then the recording will lag for 2-3 seconds before resuming again. I tried recording Biomutant as well and the same thing happens. The actual game does not freeze at all, so i am not sure why it does on the recording.

My specs: Intel i9-9900K, RTX 2080TI, Windows 10, 64 GB DDR 4 Corsair Ram.

Thanks for any help you can provide!
