Better SLI performance in HDR? When?

And sometimes FPS drop (5-10) in SDR too. In some games I must turn off SLI completely to stabilize FPS WITH Action! (without your program everything ok, non fps drop).

We are still working on it.

Hi Hellmut,

It is very difficult to get top capturing performance on SLI setups. Let me explain why.

In SLI mode AFR is used (Alternate Frame Rendering) on multiple GPUs. Since we encode video using one GPU we must transfer the frames from one GPU to another. This creates a big performance hit! In SDR we have a better algorithm then in HDR since we need to transfer 2x less data (SDR is 8bpp and HDR is 16bpp).

What we would like to achieve is to get HDR SLI performance close to SDR SLI. We know that HDR SLI su** and we are not proud of it :(
We could make it better but we would need to disable all camera/overlay graphics composition so you would only get video.

Best,
Paul

Hi! Sorry for my so late respons and thank you for your full answer.
For me it will be nice to "disable all camera/overlay" in HDR cause SDR webcam is useless in HDR mode and overlay on its own take some FPS (1-3).
Happy to use your program!

Ok we are working on it. The performance should be much much better with overlays disabled (we will detect if no overlays are visible and then use a faster algorithm) as we will be able to do it similar to SLI SDR.
