The latest Action! versions won't launch

Mon Sep 14, 2020 3:01 pm

Greetings,

This is my last attempt to get a qualified answer from the devs, cause previously they didn't give me an advice or possible solution via support@mirillis.com.

specs: i7-4790k, gtx 1080, xonar d2 audio card, 16gb ram
win 10 enterprise x64 2004 with the latest updates 19041.508
latest Nvidia drivers 452.06
hardware accelerated gpu scheduling is on
run all administrators in admin approval mode disabled in gpedit

the problem is that after 4.10.2 version the program won't even launch (4.10.3-4.11.1).
it seems that process crashed after a couple of seconds.
i tried to uninstall the software via revo uninstaller, manually vanished all traces in system registry like \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Mirillis etc.
and install again without any pros

once i install back 4.10.2 or older 4.9.0 it works fine
https://downloads.mirillis.com/files/ac ... _setup.exe

crash dumps and dxdiag both attached to this message.
i see this kind of issues on your steam discussions as well.

kind regards

Piotr

Action! crashes in HsSrv.dll which is not our dll. Try updating Windows and see if that helps.

Thanks for an answer, it helps a lot to find a trace. Yes, HsSrv.dll library apparently is a part of ASUS Xonar sound drivers.
Problem is solved now, new updates works fine as usual.
For those who also has the same audio cards i recommend to install a custom UNi Xonar Drivers with C-Media Audio Panel (the HsMgr (GX) processes are disabled from auto starting and not functional) which helps.
