I recorded something important and was not able to watch it later.

This issue should be fixed with next release. For now use older version of Action!: https://download.mirillis.com/files/act ... _setup.exe

you should add an option to download older versions on the website too, can be useful.
Well for now I am waiting for the update.

I have this on the latest version.
Many videos destroyed. Terrible !!

I change "Hardware Acceleration" to check if that helped and the game started crashing a lot instead.

Hello,
please provide us your PC DxDiag report. It will help us investigate your problem.
To run a dxdiag report follow the steps below:

If you are running Windows Vista or higher go to your task bar.
Click on, "Start Button".
Click on, "Run".
In the pop-up window enter dxdiag and hit ok.
The DirectX Diagnostic Tool pop-up window should appear.
Click on, "Save all information tab".
"Save As" window should be present.
Click on, "Save" (The file should be saved to your desktop as dxdiag)
Close the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.

Attach generated txt file to your reply.

Hi Sean,
Please let us know if this "blackness" occurs during recording or just after the start. Can you try to record in windowed mode and see what the preview is showing? We need to know if this is the capture engine problem or the video encoder. There are lots of things that can go wrong. We will try to help ASAP. We know there is nothing worse then a long corrupted video. Just like you said this is lost time and time is money...

Please let us know:
1. What is the file format (AVI or MP4)
2. What encoder/hardware acceleration is used for MP4
3. GPU vendor and driver number

We are trying to sort out this blackness problem. It seems to be related to AMD GPUs and mostly mobile (with power switching technology).
We advise to check on which GPU Action! is running and try to select the low power one and next the high performance (and see which configuration works). We have been able to replicate this problem on and old MSI laptop when Action! was running on the high performance GPU. Switching to low power helped.

Hi there, thanks for answering.

I have a AMD CPU 12 core, Nvidia 2070 Super, 32Gig of Ram, Windows 10 Pro.
I record MP4 and it works great but very few times you can see the video get "smeared" in pixels like it lost its traction or restarted really fast like something crashed.

When I record and everything works great. After 30-40 minutes I turn off the recording and wait max 5-10 seconds then start recording again.
The Black Screen can happen after a few videos OR I get a few videos Black Screen. Its impossible to know when I get the Black Screen video sad to say.
I can copy my DxDiag and paste in here if this would help ?
