Doom Eternal crashes randomly while recording with Action

Sat Feb 27, 2021 9:33 am

I use Nvidia NVENC as my hardware accerleration, recording in MP4 format, 1440p, 144fps with constant frame rate, Force bitrate at 60 Mbps. None of my other games even Doom 2016 has this problem except for Doom Eternal. And the crash will occur very random, sometime it crashes when I played for about 20 minutes, sometime it takes around 2 hours, or maybe it won't happen at all.

This is a message when the crash occurred , please advice.

Sorry for not responding quicker.
This crash occurs because one of Vulkan API functions returned failure.
According to documentation https://www.khronos.org/registry/vulkan ... ences.html
it is possible in cases when device is lost or there is lack of device or host memory. If you are sure that it is not
memory problem then it means that during execution device was lost. There were unexpected set of events which put
device context in state where it can't continue it's job because all resources created by that device context
are also lost. We tried to recreate your problem with different GPU RTX 2080 and it didn't work but I'm pretty
sure it is driver or device problem. In my opinion to fix this you can try installing newest GPU driver or perform
clean driver installation. You should also try solutions recommended right here: https://help.bethesda.net/app/answers/d ... g-on-pc%3F
When not being able to reproduce the problem I can't provide better solution.

Sorry.
