Chivalry 2 Recording Issues

Hi guys,

Just a quick heads-up, Chiv 2 launched recently and although I've been able to record it, there seems to be some crash issues and I'm not sure whether it's Action or Chiv 2's fault, so I'm just sending this to both companies to let you all know.

Screen mode I think works fine, we're talking about Game Mode. I also tried adding some exclusions to apps like steam, discord (disabled all overlays), even AMD's software etc. so this is just my attempt to get this fixed after trying everything.

OS: Windows 10
Video Card: RX580 4gigs
Memory: 16 GB
Monitor Resolution: 1920x1200
Video Editor: Power Director 19 (not relevant)
Game Problem: Chivalry 2
Video Type: MP4

Thanks in advance for looking into this.

Hi Aleksandar030,

Thank you for reporting this. The only difference between Game and Screen mode is in borderless windowed mode.
In fullscreen exclusive mode both Game and Screen work the same.

Are you running in borderless windowed of fullscreen exclusive?

Hey there!

I'm running the game in Fullscreen mode but with game mode in action it crashes often. :) I just recorded some footage in screen mode and no crashes from either Chiv 2 or Action. Everything else being the same.

Very strange. We need to investigate it further.

One last question. What is reported on HUD (Windows logo or DX9/DX10/DX11/D12 or nothing - which means Vulkan)

Well, sometimes the hud doesn't even show. But on the off chance that it does, it looks pretty normal (I think dx). Chiv 2 I don't think is vulcan.

After this last action update, the crashes seem to be even more common. It crashes even with screen mode (before it didn't).
