How do I take HDR screenshots?

I can only select JPEG/PNG/BMP and from what I know those formats don't support HDR metadata.
I do get a slider for "HDR Quality" when I select JPEG... but the taken screenshots don't seem to be in HDR so I guess that slider is refering to something else?
Please help!

Action! automatically generates jxl file when taking screenshots if HDR is detected. Make sure your game/desktop works in HDR.

Then the detection doesn't seem to work properly.
I have HDR enabled for the desktop as well as in the game (Forza Horizon 4) and it is definetly working. But when I've selected JPG and take a screenshot it only saves a .jpg file in the selected folder.
Do I have to select a specific mode for this to work? Currently I'm using the "screen" mode.

Maybe it has something to do with my dual screen setup? My secondary monitor doesn't support HDR and for whatever reason when I start Action that monitor is selected by default and I have to switch to my primary monitor.

If you are taking screenshot in Screen recording mode then make sure that HDR monitor is selected.

As I said I've switched to my primary (HDR capable) monitor. Didn't work.

Tried a few more things:
I've unplugged my old screen so now I only have my HDR screen connected. Didn't help.
I've also recorded some video in HDR... that works perfectly. (via NVidia NVENC HDR10)
My best guess is still that the app fails to recognize my HDR display for screenshots.
(I'm running a Nvidia RTX 3070 with an Acer Predator XB273UGS display)
